Chris Rybak comes back to Brush Country JamboreeChris Rybak comes back to Brush Country Jamboree
The monthly Brush Country Jamboree will be on Tuesday, Dec. 1, at the George West School Cafetorium, beginning at 7 p.m. This will be the 20th anniversary program and also the annual Christmas show. Guest performers will be super accordion player Chris Rybak of Hallettsville, Emily Feist of George West and Jeff Ward, the singing policeman, of Pleasanton. The cost is $4 per person. Everyone is cordially invited to attend. Chris Rybak keeps a busy schedule. From performing for the 2ND annual Roland V-Accordion Fest Contest (U.S. digital accordion championship) held in Los Angeles, CA on Sept. 25, to playing each weekend at the Texas Renaissance Fest in Plantersville in Nov., Rybak seems to live life on the road as an entertainer. Chris Rybak wrote a new original song for the Spoetzl Brewery in Shiner for their 100th anniversary, and it was featured at the Shiner Brewery´s 100 Year Celebration on Nov. 4. Chris and his wife Edita have a Valentine Polka Cruise coming up Feb. 14-21, 2010, out of Galveston aboard the Carnival Conquest ship. It´s going to be an exciting cruise as they have over 170 polka partiers in their group and will host several polka dances aboard the ship! Chris just released his brand-new recording, the “Grand March CD”. Known as the never-ending polka, it features over 30 polkas performed in one continuous song, over 1 hour long. The bonus track is the “Chicken Dance”. Check out his website www.chrisrybak.com for more info and schedule, or to CDs.
