The monthly Brush Country Music Jamboree, sponsored by the Live Oak County Fair Association, will be Tuesday, April 1, starting at 7 p.m. at the Live Oak County Coliseum, halfway between George West and Three Rivers.

Headlining the program is accordion player Chris Rybak of Hallettsville. Other guests include Bettye Jean, Karl Moore and Jay Grimes of San Antonio; 7-year-old Kaylie Layne Shoemake of Victoria; singer Bobby Williford of Three Rivers; and Cajun singer Jerry Naquin of Corpus Christi.

The cost is $3 per person. For more information, call Jerry Retzloff at 361-786-3334. He added, “Don´t forget! The Jamboree band will perform a three-hour program at the Three Rivers Salsa Festival on Saturday, April 5, beginning at 1 p.m.

Retzloff said the Brush County Music Jamboree is proud to welcome two new sponsors, Church´s Fried Chicken of George West and Sunrise-Sunset Café of Three Rivers. These two businesses will provide food on show night for the band and guest performers.

These two businesses join jamboree sponsors: Staghorn Restaurant, Pizza Hut and Bass Inn of Three Rivers; Van Barbecue of Oakville; and Convenient Trailer Park, El Comedor Restaurant, Best Western Inn and Royal Inn of George West. The Jamboree also appreciates the support of the Progress of Three Rivers and the Bee-Picayune of Beeville. Super S Food stores of both George West and Three Rivers are great sponsors, providing food for practice sessions and on show night.
